Strategic Support / Quality Assurance

Ofsted-ready audits are available to assess your current provision against the requirements set out by Ofsted and the Statutory Guidance for Careers Guidance. Bespoke consultancy can be facilitated for specific support such as writing a careers policy or planning a careers event in your organisation.

This award demonstrates excellence in partnership working between education providers; ensuring learners receive quality provision when educated over more than one site. Lincolnshire’s Complete-Careers team provides parents/carers an offer to help your children develop their career potential and move successfully through education into employment. Arrange a careers guidance appointment for your child with a trained
career specialists. Our team can offer you access to a career professional qualified to level 6 and 7 (post graduate and masters level). This service can help your child identify what they want to do or talk through their existing plans in more depth. This service costs £49.50 and lasts up to an hour. The guidance appointment can be made available face-to-face, over the telephone or via a webchat such as Skype or Facetime.

These can help individuals to identify goals, overcome barriers and reach their full potential. One to one sessions over an agreed period with a qualified coach/mentor can help individuals gain self-esteem and motivation. Individual support available from £25 per hour.

We can help individuals to understand more about themselves and suitable career pathways using comprehensive profiling tools made available in standard and advanced packages. The standard service costs just £25 and is suitable for adults and young people aged 14 plus. You will receive a detailed multiple choice questionnaire for your child to complete. Following this you will be presented with a profile of your child, along with a list of possible suitable career pathways.

The Advanced service will involve a full psychometric profile of your child’s career capabilities lasting up to 3 hours, in a group environment at a Lincolnshire venue. The assessment costs £85 and includes receipt of a comprehensive booklet of your child’s profile, suggested career areas that link to the profile and a full guidance interview to present the findings to you and your child.

Rarely do you get a second chance to make a first impression, so give your child every chance to make the right first impression. The traditional CV is still widely used, but many youngsters do not give it the attention it deserves and waste both their time as well as the employer’s. In addition, some employers now prefer an e: portfolio to create more of a holistic picture of an applicant, as well as their ICT capabilities. With services available from just £49.50, give your child the hints and tips they need to stand out from the crowd.

This service will encourage your child to engage in social media to actively market their ‘personal brand’ (themselves) and to draw employer’s attention to their brand to get themselves noticed or head hunted. The cost is £49.50 for an hour of consultancy.

This service can be most effective for hiring new staff, or increasing the productivity of existing staff. We can help groups of employees to understand more about themselves and their working preferences using comprehensive profiling tools made available in standard and advanced packages. This can help an employee recognise their strengths and limitations thus creating enhanced productivity. Profiling tools can also help you find the right candidate when recruiting staff. We can work with you to determine the profile of the type of employee you are looking to recruit. The psychometric assessments will then enable you to match the applicants to your preferred profile.

Resources to Support Good Practice for Career Professionals

This award is suitable for a range of learning providers who work in partnership to deliver one or more elements of an 11-19 year olds learning experience.

The award demonstrates excellence in partnership working between education providers; ensuring learners receive quality provision when educated over more than one site. Complete Careers can provide you with support and assessments for this award.

 

The award can be achieved at either Silver or Gold level. It is a validated self–assessment accredited by Complete Careers. 

The purpose of the award is to support:

  • The quality of the learners experience
  • The level of impact made by the learning programme
  • Continuous Improvement

The award has two levels:

Silver Award

Evidence is provided to a validator off site to show that you have robust systems for:

  • Managing your partnership provision effectively
  • Effective delivery and review across the provision
  • Evaluation, development and continuous improvement

Gold Award

This is undertaken after successful completion of the Silver Award

Evidence is provided to a validator mainly by interviews on a learning site to show:

  • The impact and outcome of your programmes and systems

The PQA is currently held by a number of education providers to quality assure their partnership provision. It is a flexible award which is suitable for anyone who works in a partnership to provide education.

Reasons for completing the award include:

  • Quality assuring the learning experience
  • Providing a framework for effective partnership work
