Complete Careers is a Licensed Awarding Body for the Quality in Careers Standard through its unique Career Mark approach. For 30 years, Career Mark has had an excellent reputation in supporting learning providers to quality assure and develop their careers programme. The award is fully aligned to the Gatsby Benchmarks, ensures compliance with the statutory guidance and provides evidence for Ofsted.
We would describe our assessment process as empowering, rigorous and learner focussed.
The Career Mark assessment processes uses five components to assess the Quality in Careers Standard:

Step 1. Self-Assessment (optional)
Using our self assessment, you can quite quickly see how prepared you are to go through the assessment process. It will help you to get a flavour of what the award is likely to cover and support you to identify where the gaps are in what you are currently doing. This step is optional, but a good opportunity to help you see gaps in your provision.
Step 2. Action (optional)
You may have some work to do in ensuring you have everything in place to meet the award criteria. This step is optional, but a good opportunity to implement any changes highlighted by your audit.
Step 3: Sign up with us
This will give you access to the Members Area of the website, where you will move through various stages and find the document (Description Grids) you need to complete. You have two years to complete the Description Grids, gather your evidence and request an assessment.
Step 4: Portfolio Assessment
Using our standards (Description Grids) you will describe your provision and provide evidence to support this. We will assess your grids and evidence against the standards.
Stage 5: Assessment Day
We will arrange an assessment day to speak to your learners and to measure the impact of your provision. Our assessments are carried out on-line and focus on hearing the learner voice.
Step 6. Award
Following the assessment you will receive notification if you have achieved the Quality in Careers Standard. You will receive a report with recommendations, a certificate and plaque to display in school. Your report will include recommendations aimed at strengthening and enhancing your CEIAG offer. Your award lasts for two years.
Step 7: Annual Review
This is an opportunity for us to contact you and, if you wish, to discuss progression you have made against your recommendations.
Step 8: Reaccreditation
Our reaccreditation process has been designed to complement your first assessment providing a continuous cycle of improvement and development.
SECONDARY/POST-16 CHARGES/DISCOUNTS
First assessment – £1400 + VAT (includes £50 to support the work of the Quality in Careers Standard consortium and maintain the National Register).
We invoice half the overall cost at registration and the second half at the point of requesting an assessment.
Please note: charges are exclusive of VAT and travel expenses (which will be charged at a flat fee of £145).
Reaccreditation
The cost of a reaccreditation assessment is £1020 + VAT (includes £50 to support the work of the Quality in Careers Standard consortium and maintain the National Register).
We invoice half the overall cost at the point of Annual Review and the remainder at the point of requesting an assessment.

Group Discount
For groups of schools who wish to work towards the award accreditation at the same time, we can offer a discount, this can be discussed with the Career Mark Manager.
