Complete Careers is a Licensed Awarding Body for the Quality in Careers Standard through its unique Career Mark approach. For 30 years, Career Mark has had an excellent reputation in supporting learning providers to quality assure and develop their careers programme.

(We also have a Career Mark Primary Award dedicated to supporting, developing and accrediting primary schools to deliver a high quality careers program to their pupils.)

A unique programme combining careers leadership and personal career guidance, leading to a Level 6 Diploma in Career Guidance and Development.

Level 6 Apprenticeship and Diploma

Career Development Professional Apprenticeship

This unique programme offers a long-term ‘built-in’ solution to the provision of career guidance whilst providing participants with the skills, knowledge and behaviours required to be a successful careers adviser.

Designed by careers and education professionals, this holistic approach enables participants to combine careers leadership with the provision of impartial and independent careers guidance.

Develop the skills to lead and deliver careers provision

Prepare and implement a strategic plan for developing a careers programme in your setting.

Plan, deliver and quality assure a careers programme that ensures your setting meets its statutory obligations.

Provide impartial and independent careers guidance (1:1 personal guidance).

The programme

What you need to know

21–24 months

Develop careers and personal guidance skills alongside the specific careers leadership pathway units.

Level 6 qualification

Gain a Level 6 Diploma in Career Guidance and Development and the Apprenticeship accreditation.

Flexible learning

Combines face-to-face training, live online learning, distance learning plus peer and tutor support.

Recognition of prior learning

If you have already completed the Level 6 Career Leadership (CEC) training, you can ‘top up’ with the mandatory careers guidance modules.

Built for careers professionals

This course is suitable for Careers Leaders, Careers Coordinators, wider careers team members, including work experience coordinators and Apprenticeship Co-ordinators in industry.
