After completing a degree in Graphic Communication, I worked in the graphics industry for 2 years. I then decided to follow a new career path by completing a PGCE in secondary art & design. I taught in the UK for 7 years, whilst also taking on responsibilities for Aim Higher, Careers Education and Head of Department.
I was then lucky enough to be granted a one-year sabbatical and moved abroad, teaching art and EAL in the Canary Islands. I eventually returned to the UK four years later as a supply teacher, teaching across all age groups including Primary.
In 2017, I then jumped at the opportunity to work as a cover teacher/careers adviser in a private day/boarding school, and whilst there, I completed my level 6 CIAG qualification through the Open University. I now love working as a remote career guidance adviser with the Complete Careers team.
In my spare time I also work as a canine massage therapist and enjoy spending time with our two dogs and two cats and riding my friends' horses whenever I can.

From 2017, I worked to roll out a careers strategy across the school that included a total rebrand of the careers offer, implementing plans to meet Gatsby benchmarks and achieving Quality in Careers Standard and Prospects Gold Award.
I thoroughly enjoy my current role conducting both one-to-one careers guidance interviews, working with small groups and working within the CDI Code of Ethics.
