Careers Leadership – Raising the Quality Assurance Bar’
As we enter a new academic year there is updated statutory guidance for careers (Careers guidance and access for education and training providers, September 2022) Careers statutory guidance (publishing.service.gov.uk) to work with.
The guidance has 30 ‘must’ references within it however most of these were in the previous guidance with the main addition relating to extending the careers guidance provision to year 7. We expect further updates to the statutory guidance later this year, but for now Career Leaders can consolidate their careers programme and strive to ‘raise the quality assurance bar’ to ensure all learners’ career planning needs are met.
This no cost conference will provide Career Leaders with a summary of the updated expectations. It will raise awareness of existing quality assurance mechanisms enabling Career Leaders to clearly communicate their programme’s intent, plan the implementation and review the overall impact. The conference will run remotely through Zoom, a user-friendly, effective platform. There will be opportunities for interaction and to post questions to speakers, as well as regular screen breaks.
