Developing resources that support learners to make successful transitions is an important part of our service offer at Complete Careers. We have developed bespoke resources for MATs, Hubs and individual schools from recorded assemblies, to newsletters, from schemes of work to lesson plans and resource booklets. Contact us if you want to organise a discussion around how we can work with you to develop materials that will support your learners to become effective Career Managers.
In July 2023 Complete Careers were commissioned by the North East Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) to produce resources to raise learner’s aspirations, increase knowledge and understanding, and support progression to higher education (HE) and beyond.
Complete Careers worked in partnership with North East LEP and Future Me to produce a suite of lesson plans that can be used with Year 7 onwards. These included, Introducing Higher Education (HE), Routes to HE, Study for Success, Finance, Applying and Transition.

Complete Careers LLP worked in partnership with Greenwood Academies Trust to write a bespoke learner resource through CEC funding to support learners ‘catch up’ from missed careers education following the pandemic.
The resource is to help learners to prepare for the challenge ahead from education to employment in a competitive job market. It is an information resource with links to activities, videos, and further reading. It has skills and activities logs, a career planning checklist, and an action plan at the end of the resource to record progress. It is designed for independent use either in school or at home.
The age range is from year 10 to year 13. It is a ‘stage not age’ resource, meaning a motivated 15-year-old may go through the whole guide, others in key stage 4 may dip in and out of sections. The information will be just as useful for key stage 5 learners. In each section there are basic (‘Move On’) and advanced (‘Go Further’) tasks to help with their career planning. Learners will be at different stages in their career planning and can access the basic tasks and/or for those more engaged the advanced tasks.
