Whether you are in a rural or urban area there are many jobs that you can introduce to your learners. Careers involve working in a variety of locations and settings, outdoors – maintaining infrastructure and utilities, in vehicles – transporting goods to communities across the country. There are jobs in offices, retail outlets, hospitality and recreation provision. People work in places providing education, health and care services as well as carrying out their roles from home. Career learning includes a variety of areas including self-awareness, exploring possibilities and creating opportunities, resources can challenge stereotypes, broaden horizons and raise aspirations.
This event will help you to think about ideas and content to use with your learners wherever your school is. Helping you learn more about ways you can introduce and develop career learning in primary education. Speakers from across the country involved with primary career education in a variety of ways will share their knowledge and experience.
