With the enhanced focus on careers in Ofsted’s Common Inspection Framework and the guidance for schools to be implementing the Gatsby Benchmarks at the end of 2020, our remote conference will focus on how to evidence a good careers programme. Utilising technology it will equip participants with practical approaches to evidence the intent, implementation and impact across all 8 benchmarks and additional national criteria. With much uncertainty nationally and internationally our conference theme focuses on the individual learner, helping organisations to consider:
A range of national speakers and experienced practitioners/careers leaders will support you to comply with the statutory duties and identify best practice. The day will be varied including speakers and virtual workshops. We are limiting spaces so that each workshop is interactive with participants able to enable their cameras and microphones to fully participate.
The keynote addresses will consider the theme of evidencing the impact of a careers programme considering the position of Ofsted as well as from a Multi Academy Trust. The addresses will also consider if Gatsby is ‘good’ for careers education. Four workshops will provide practical ideas and suggestions for evidencing intent, implementation and impact ensuring the needs of the learners are met.
